Paljor Namgyal Girls School, Gangtok, Sikkim.

It was during the year 1924, the citizens then were simple and hardworking; a society unaware and untouched by the changes in the world. It was the time when Sikkimese women could not imagine life beyond their house and kitchen, our founder, Dr. Mary Hepburn Scott felt for the girl child of Sikkim  and the selfless service that she offered to impart knowledge to them,  gave her the joy of learning which in turn she got the  immense contentment with the motto of “love Service and Joy”. Today the school strives to foster love of fellowship, aims to inculcate in each of its ward a feeling of service towards the society in large and there by spread the message of joy.
